“Polonia” Polish Association of Queensland Inc. is one of Queensland’s oldest ongoing ethnic clubs. The original structure on the Marie Street property was a classic Queenslander that had been adapted to meet the needs of the flourishing post WWII Polish community of Brisbane.

The current clubhouse opened its doors after being blessed in 1968 by Archbishop Władysław Rubin.

“Polonia” boasts a restaurant with Polish & Australian cuisine, a licensed bar serving a variety of Polish beers & vodkas, and is also an event venue available for private functions & conferences.

With ample onsite parking & metered street parking, it is easily accessed by convenient public transport services:

  • Milton train station (10 minutes walking distance)
  • Park Road bus stops (5 minutes walking distance)
  • Citycat Milton ferry terminal (5 minutes walking distance)

The 60 year old Association is the hub of a thriving Polish community consisting of:

  • Life, Ordinary & Associate members
  • Seniors’ Club
  • Women’s Club
  • Youth Organisations
  • Polish Library
  • Historical Archives

Patriotic concerts as well as social events, dances and market days occur regularly and are listed on our Calendar of Events.

“Polonia” is truly the home of all things Polish in Brisbane and proudly shares its heritage with everyone. We hope you will visit us soon!
